Professor Md. Mobarak Ali was the Founder Director and Professor of the well established National Institute of Ophthalmology which was founded by his untiring efforts. Until death he maintained the post of President and other important posts of OSB. His performance in the field of Eye Science is unbounded. To commemorate his performance OSB and his family inaugurated this Gold Medal Award. This award is given on every third year and a senior Eye specialist is selected for deep association with ophthalmology in the context of medical treatment and education in field level and to perform for the total development of the OSB.
